Rinne's and Webber's the easy way

Interpreting the outcome of W&R tests can be a bit of a mind bender. Hears my method - hope it helps!



If you do Rinne's first, then this will tell you where you have conductive losses. If you identify conductive loss then Webber's will merely confirm this finding (or inform you of a false -ve Rinne's). If there is no conductive loss then Webber's will identify unilateral senorineural loss.
